Making A Match. Sharing My Strengths

By Dallas Romanowski

Why are we the right firm to guide you through one of the most important business decisions of your life? The answer is simple. While the homecare industry is rapidly evolving, and external factors will continue to shape the industry, We’ve spent most of my career coaching others to maximize the value of their business which includes proactive leadership succession planning. We also did this for a company, PerformanceCulture.com, which we co-founded and partially exited.

The Entrepreneurial Spirit

Taking an idea from conception to profit is tough. Lots of entrepreneurs have BIG ideas that never get off the ground. In fact, a lot of entrepreneurs fail. When this happens, there’s always something lacking. That “something” is often easily identified—a deficient understanding of the industry, poor hiring choices, inadequate capital—but sometimes identifying that missing piece is a lot more difficult. And this is where we come in.

Cornerstone Advisory Partners

In 2007, I founded Cornerstone Business Advisors to help our clients launch, grow, and exit their businesses successfully through our advisory services. At Cornerstone, I gathered a team of proven entrepreneurs and business leaders who, like me, have lived and breathed all three phases. We’ve played a critical role in the success of businesses, from the Fortune 5000 to scores of small companies. We love what I do because of the personal impact it has on others. It also allows us to leverage cross-functional skills our team has developed over the years.

Performance Culture

We have learned a lot working with over a hundred companies as their advisor or coach. This knowledge was the foundation of a management system we developed - The Performance Culture System (PCS). After implementing this system with many customers I decided to write the book, Performance Culture - Drive Profits and Create a Great Workplace. Eventually, we turned PCS into a Software as a Service product. Once the software gained traction, we spun the software out into a new company, PerformanceCulture.com. The software took off and about five years after I co-founded the company, I sold a portion of the company to take some chips off the table. This allowed me to focus 100% of my energy on Cornerstone and Homecare United, something I am very excited about.

Exit Planning

No matter who you are or what business you’re in, no one has the ability to predict the future. We work hard, establish relationships, grow our families, build wealth...and then the unthinkable happens. A family’s finances are depleted during a medical emergency. A business partner proves untrustworthy. A recession derails several years of growth. You get sick.

One of the most rewarding aspects for our team is helping clients to prepare for the unexpected. Short of a crystal ball, we truly believe this is the most valuable service we can provide. Our experience with the Clarks, when we brokered the sale of their homecare franchise, is a perfect case study. Jim and Anne had little warning that their lives were about to change forever. We were grateful to bring our expertise in leadership succession planning to the table. We’re ready to walk you through this critical step, too, applying what we’ve learned working with dozens of homecare agencies.

Transaction Services

Whether you’re looking to buy or sell a homecare business, we’ll show you how to evaluate and value a homecare agency. In both cases, we’ll help you develop a plan to maximize business value and ensure the new leaders or owners can continue to grow the business as you envision it.
